Safeties (4)

Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage Jr., Josh Jones, Raven Greene

Rewind to last season following the Ha Ha Clinton-Dix trade. The Packers were forced to move Tramon Williams to safety, and he started alongside either Kentrell Brice or Josh Jones depending on the game. Mike Pettine now has the flexibility to use Williams where he is needed, and the Packers have two new starting corners.

Adrian Amos is a great addition to the secondary, and the Packers doubled down at safety by trading up for Darnell Savage Jr. in the first round of the draft. Jones provides depth, as does Raven Greene, who missed eight games in 2018 and finished the season on injured reserve. They could also bring back Ibraheim Campbell once he recovers from a torn ACL.

I have the Packers entering the season with four safeties, and they of course have the option for Williams to move back there. The starting duo of Amos and Savage can turn a weakness into a strength in one offseason for the Packers defense.

Brian Gutekunst has slowly rebuilt the secondary since taking over as general manager last offseason, and after the draft they look to be much stronger at safety. This will be a position to watch over the summer at OTAs and into training camp.
