Green Bay Packers All-Aaron Rodgers era team: Offense
Tight end: Jermichael Finley
A third-round pick in 2008, Jermichael Finley quickly became an important receiver in Mike McCarthy’s offense. In six seasons, Finley played 70 games for the Green Bay Packers, catching 223 passes for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Finley’s best year came in 2011 — he finished with 55 receptions for 767 yards and eight touchdowns, playing a huge role in the Green Bay Packers’ No. 1-ranked scoring offense.
Finley went down with a serious neck injury against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7 of the 2013 season, and he was forced to retire as a result.

What shows just how much of an impact Finley had in Green Bay’s offense is how much they have missed him in recent years. The Packers drafted Richard Rodgers in the hope that he could replace Finley, but that didn’t work out. They’ve also turned to free agency in recent offseasons, signing Jared Cook, Lance Kendricks, Martellus Bennett, Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis.
Despite making so many moves in free agency, the Packers still entered the 2019 offseason with a need at tight end and selected Jace Sternberger out of Texas A&M in the third round this year.
Finley is the No. 1 tight end in the All-Aaron Rodgers era team.
