5. Jimmy Graham

In Week 2 of 2018, Jimmy Graham gave us a glimpse of what he could be in the Packers offense with six catches for 95 yards. Graham was a star of the game. In Week 1 of 2019, Graham also showed what he can do and be in the Packers offense.

The problem in 2018 for Graham was he was never able to build on that success with back-to-back performances. For the Packers offense to get on track, Graham can’t follow last week’s promising showing with a dud.

Graham, himself, was not happy with his performance last year, and like Rodgers after Week 1, vowed he would be better this season.

Davante Adams is likely to draw Xavier Rhodes and a safety in coverage. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is proving he has to be accounted for, and Geronimo Allison will be tough cover in the middle of the field. The glue that can hold it all together and make the Packers offense go is Graham. Showing up and being an unstoppable red zone target, in addition to the big man in the middle of the field.

Two weeks, two division opponents. In 2018, the Packers failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity. If the Packers want to help Matt LaFleur become the first rookie Packers coach in the Super Bowl era to reach the playoffs, they cannot repeat the mistakes of last season.
