1. Aaron Jones dominates

Much of the talk was about whether the Packers’ run defense would have an answer for Ezekiel Elliott. But the real storyline on Sunday was that the Cowboys had no answer for Aaron Jones, who had 182 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns.

It was an outstanding performance by the Packers’ third-year running back, who averaged an impressive 5.6 yards per carry. Just about every time the offense needed a first down, Jones stepped up and made a play.

The Packers were without star wide receiver Davante Adams, and also running back Jamaal Williams. Someone needed to step up and make a difference on offense. Jones did just that.

The offensive line also deserves credit. They battled through injuries. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga has been playing hurt, and center Corey Linsley left the game due to injury. But they still opened up lanes which Jones took advantage of. Rookie Elgton Jenkins, who the Packers selected in the second round, is already looking like a home-run pick.

Even with the strong work by the offensive line, Jones still had to make it count. He did that and then some. It was a performance he’ll never forget, and one that helped the Packers pick up a huge road win.
