The Packers appear to have a two-headed monster at tailback. Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones have two different skill sets that complement each other perfectly.

Williams uses his strength in between the tackles and his battering ram style to pick up tough yards. Jones is more of a slasher and a one-cut-and-go type runner who is smaller, but poses as the bigger play threat with a little more wiggle and speed.

Both are unselfish players and enjoy watching the other achieve success. Together, they make one of the best tandems in the NFL at the moment. And over the last two games for the Packers, they have proven to be the difference in the games.

The Packers were always going to need a running mate for Jones, and they have a good one in Williams. And with each taking a turn going for over 100 yards rushing, it doesn’t matter who the lead back is.

Both are more than just check-down players and pass protectors in the passing game as well. Williams knows how to set up a screen and can do some damage after the catch. Jones has proven to be a capable route runner out of the backfield who can get open, and outside of Monday night, usually will catch the ball.

Coach LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers can ride this tandem until the passing game starts to click.
