5. David Bakhtiari/Bryan Bulaga

You can’t ask for a better job than what David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga have done so far this year. The two tackles have faced a Murderers’ row of pass rushers and have done an amazing job giving their quarterback time and keeping him upright.

This week, both are a little banged up and face another tough duo. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram are a large reason why many thought the Chargers would be legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Like most of the Chargers roster, both have battled injuries of late that limited their roles.

Both are back and healthy now and will no doubt want to put the Chargers back on the postseason trajectory.

Bulaga exited the game against the Chiefs in the fourth quarter with a finger injury and had a hard time finding the right wrap, glove or splint to put him back in the game. The hope is he won’t have to play the game with a club. He was limited in practice. Bakhtiari left the game but returned with a rib injury. Though listed on the injury report, Bakhtiari was still able to be a full participant on Wednesday.

At this point, everyone is banged up and these two are no exception. They will just have another tough task against another tough tandem and be ready to shut them down regardless of injury status.

The Packers are getting a “ninth home game” heading into Carson, CA and the Chargers’ small venue. Despite their record, the Chargers won’t be an easy out and have everything they want right in front of them. It will be up to these players and the other 41 players to make sure there’s one more detour in the Chargers’ road.
