2. Davante Adams

The other half of the balance equation is Davante Adams. Adams looks to be fully healthy after his toe injury and has been the focus of the passing game the past three games. But, Adams is good enough where he doesn’t have to be.

Adams can beat one-on-one coverage against just about anyone in the NFL. If the coach decides to get creative for Aaron Jones, he should know that Adams can run his route, beat his man, and be there as a solid option B if Jones is covered. Or if they pay too much attention to Jones, Adams can take full advantage and make them pay.

If the Packers put Adams and Jones on the same side, the defense will have to show their cards and allow Rodgers to get the ball to the best place.

One thing we also haven’t seen much since Adams return, is Jones, Jamaal Williams and Adams on the field all at the same time. That personnel grouping could allow the Packers to work fast while the defense will be kept guessing because of how good Jones and Williams are in the passing game.

Whether it was an over-reliance in the game plan by the coach or by Rodgers on the field, for the offense to work to perfection, the team must figure a way towards better balance between Adams and Jones.
