4. Za’Darius Smith

Za’Darius Smith didn’t fill up the stat sheet against the Giants. He didn’t record a sack or directly force a turnover, but he was as disruptive as he has been all season long.

Smith was constantly in the Giants offensive backfield, forcing bad throws and slowing down the run game. Smith was used inside and out and was hard for the Giants’ line to handle. It’s actually amazing how much he was in the backfield that he didn’t record a sack.

If not for Jones’ athletic ability, Smith may have finished the game with at least two sacks. But as it is, Smith had to settle for being a disruptive force without the glory. No matter, it was clear to anyone watching that Smith was affecting the Giants offense.

Smith already has a career-high in sacks and still has four more games to go. He has proven to be worth every penny spent on him this summer and along with Preston Smith, will be key to how far the Packers can go. As long as both players can stay healthy, the Packers will have a dynamic duo of pass rushers who can disrupt anyone’s offense. The Packers now have their next two games at home where the crowd noise can help the pass rush, and Smith is bound to add to his career-high.
