2. Blake Martinez

Blake Martinez caught a little bit of a break in the game against the Redskins. They were playing a rookie quarterback and a team short on offensive talent. The Redskins lacked a playmaker in the middle, allowing Martinez to do what he does best and attack the run.

That changes this week. The Bears have been using little known J.P. Holtz to get the passing game going over the middle. Holtz is a big target and showed some speed on a 30-yard catch-and-run against Dallas.

More concerning for Martinez will be what Trubisky does. Bears head coach Matt Nagy has used a lot of option plays to get Trubisky going these past few weeks and Martinez will be the main man in slowing that down.

And of course, Martinez will have his usual responsibilities stopping the run. David Montgomery has also come on during the three-game win streak and has found his footing in this offense. The Smiths will get most of the glory but Martinez will be just as, if not more important this week against the Bears.

Keeping the Bears in long down-and-distances was key to the success in Week 1. It will also be key to a victory in Week 15.
