Packers “win ugly”

My prediction is that the Packers will “win ugly”, a phrase we’ve heard a lot this season. By that I mean they’ll win a close, one-score game, something the Seahawks have mastered this year. In fact, of Seattle’s 12 wins this season (including playoffs), only one has been by more than eight points. Their victory over the Eagles last week was the definition of an ugly win.

The Packers, too, have won many close games this season when they haven’t put together a complete performance.

This should be a close game and one that could be relatively low-scoring given how Green Bay’s defense matches up with Seattle’s offense, and also the inconsistency of the Packers offense.

But in the end, Matt LaFleur’s team will find a way to get the job done as they have so often this season, especially at Lambeau Field. This time, Seattle will be on the losing end of a one-score game, which would only be the third time all season.

We might not see a vintage Aaron Rodgers performance with four-plus touchdowns or a blowout victory, but I’m predicting the Packers will win this game and advance to the NFC Championship Game. The question is then whether that game will be played at Lambeau or on the road.
