3. Tight end

Death, taxes and tight end is an offseason need for the Packers. ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported that the Packers are interested in signing free-agent tight end Austin Hooper, which perhaps also suggests they are ready to move on from Jimmy Graham. They also have a decision to make regarding Marcedes Lewis‘ future as he’s a free agent this offseason. While the Packers will be hoping Jace Sternberger can step up in his second year, they should also look to free agency or the draft at tight end.

2. Wide receiver

Turn on a Packers game from 2019 and one thing was clear: Davante Adams is Aaron Rodgers’ top target, and beyond that, no pass-catcher stepped up consistently. Allen Lazard made some important plays and should have a role next season, but the Packers need more receiving options. Part of the solution could be adding another pass-catching tight end, but wide receiver is also a major need.

1. Inside linebacker

To fix the run defense, the Packers need to address the middle of the defense. They have no bigger need on defense than at inside linebacker. Ted Thompson rarely used an early-round pick at the position, and so far they haven’t had enough production from Oren Burks, a third-round pick by Brian Gutekunst in 2018. Blake Martinez and B.J. Goodson could be gone in free agency. The Packers will need to focus on inside linebacker like they did edge rusher a year ago.
