6. Cornerback

With Tramon Williams’ future still unclear, cornerback becomes a concern. Chandon Sullivan could slide into Williams’ role and the two starting positions on the outside are set with Jaire Alexander and Kevin King. King is a free agent at the end of the season, though, and depth behind the starters is a concern. Re-signing Williams would help. If not, expect the Packers to draft a cornerback.

5. Tight end

As expected, the Packers moved on from Jimmy Graham prior to the start of free agency. However, they missed out on Austin Hooper which means we should see a lot more from Jace Sternberger, a third-round pick a year ago. Re-signing Marcedes Lewis was a smart move, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty at tight end. But this isn’t a deep class at the position which makes it difficult.

4. Tackle

Although the Packers signed Rick Wagner, tackle remains one of their biggest needs. Wagner isn’t an upgrade on Bryan Bulaga although he’ll be a fine short-term option if he can get back to his best this season. It will be important for Brian Gutekunst to consider making a move for the future at tackle in the draft. Will that mean using an early-round pick?
