3. Inside linebacker

The Packers have already added talent at inside linebacker in Christian Kirksey, but they should continue to strengthen the position in the draft. If healthy, Kirksey can be an upgrade on Blake Martinez, who has signed with the New York Giants. But after playing in only nine games since the start of 2018, will Kirksey be available for all 16 games? The signing eases the pressure slightly in that the Packers might not have to use their first pick at the position (although they still might), but more work needs to be done at inside linebacker.

2. Defensive line

A position yet to be addressed is defensive tackle. And there were plenty of opportunities to do so. Kenny Clark needs help along the defensive line if the Packers are to have any chance of improving their run defense which ranked 23rd in the league last season. There are still a couple of free-agent options available but until they make a move, this is a major area of concern.

1. Wide receiver

Devin Funchess might be an upgrade on Geronimo Allison, but the Packers still desperately need talent at wide receiver to take the pressure off of Davante Adams. There’s every chance they could select a receiver on Day 1 of the draft for the first time since 2002. For the offense to build on last season, they must address this position early on in the draft and possibly more than once.
