Round 6 (208): RB Darius Anderson – TCU

Height: 5-foot-11

Weight: 195 lbs

40-yard dash: 4.61 (42nd percentile)

Player comparison: Damien Harris

RAS: 7.65

My guess is the Packers take a running back before Round 6, but if they don’t, I think Anderson would be a good option. He doesn’t have a lot of wear and tear on his body and would be a good rotational player this year in the Packers’ backfield. He is a hard runner who doesn’t get taken down easily. A knock on Anderson would be his pass protection, but I’m guessing he wouldn’t be in to protect Rodgers anyways. Anderson could be a good developmental running back for the Packers to have if they don’t bring back both or either Aaron Jones or Jamaal Williams next year.

Round 6 (209): DL James Lynch – Baylor

Height: 6-foot-4

Weight: 289 lbs

40-yard dash: 5.01 (ninth percentile)

Player comparison: William Gholston

RAS: 8.49

Don’t be filled by the ninth percentile for his 40-yard dash. Player Profiler has him listed as an EDGE player. But really, he’s a defensive lineman, so the 40-time was actually considered “great” in his RAS. Lynch would be a great pick if he fell to the sixth round. I highly doubt he falls this far, in fact, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller has Lynch going in the third round of his recent seven-round mock. Lynch isn’t the most gifted pass-rusher, but his effort and motor are always at a maximum. He makes his presence felt because he doesn’t give up on the play. He comes out of Baylor as the all-time leader in sacks.
