Packers 2010s All-Decade Team: Aaron Jones makes the team
OLB: Clay Matthews
Clay Matthews is the Packers’ all-time sack leader. I could leave it there, but I’ll go on.
Matthews starred in the Super Bowl with the famous “spill it, Pickett” moment. He was a first-team All-Pro and the PFWA NFL Defensive Player of the Year that season. He made the Pro Bowl five times in the decade.
Matthews made 73.5 sacks, 168 quarterback hits, forced 14 fumbles and made six interceptions for the Packers since the start of 2010, while also spending time at both outside and inside linebacker.
Matthews is one of the Packers’ all-time greats and should’ve made the NFL’s All-Decade Team.
OLB: Za’Darius Smith
Za’Darius Smith has only played one season in Green Bay, but what an impact he’s made. Smith led the team in sacks with 13.5 and also made a league-best 37 quarterback hits. He also made a career-best 17 tackles for loss.
A fan-favorite, a locker-room leader and one of the best edge rushers in the NFL, Smith’s production in his first season means he makes the All-Decade Team just ahead of Julius Peppers, who is unlucky to miss out.
ILB: A.J. Hawk
A.J. Hawk started 74 games at inside linebacker for the Packers between 2010 and 2014. He played a key role in the middle of Dom Capers’ defense and started 15 games in the Super Bowl season.
ILB: Blake Martinez
Blake Martinez was a tackle-machine in Green Bay, leading the league with 144 tackles in 2017. He added another 144 tackles the following season, which was second in the NFL. Last season, he made a career-best 155 tackles, again good for second in the league.
Martinez started 57 games in four seasons with the Packers.
