New Orleans Saints

From the team with the most draft picks to the team with the least. The Saints have only five picks going into the 2020 draft.

The Saints have done a good job patching holes in free agency and could look to acquire more picks and talent by moving down. Mickey Loomis and Gutekunst have already done business before and this year could be a time for more.

The Saints have the No. 24 overall pick in the first round. That pick’s value could suit the Packers just right. At 740 points, the Packers would give up a similar haul they would to get the Dolphins’ No. 26 overall pick.

This would allow the Saints to move down a few spots, obtain more picks and still get a player with a similar grade they would have gotten at 24th overall.

The Saints are a team with few holes and adding more draft depth could help this team a lot. Or moving back and targeting a player like Wisconsin’s Zach Baun, could be a wise move. But maybe not at 24. Baun is more likely to go at the end of the first and more likely the second. This trade could allow the Saints to bolster their defense while gaining a few extra picks.

There’s always bound to be a few shockers in the NFL draft. A trade by a team out of nowhere is never out of the question.

Despite unusual circumstances, I do not expect teams to be passive and wait around. I think there will still be teams looking to be as aggressive as can be through trade.
