Offense

Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State

If the Packers want to replace Bryan Bulaga, there might not be a better player than Ezra Cleveland.

Cleveland has the athletic ability to fit in nicely with head coach Matt LaFleur’s wide zone scheme.

He won’t have to come in right away and start, though he could. With Rick Wagner already in place, the Packers could bring Cleveland along slowly. And if he proves to be ready right away, even better.

Antonio Gibson, WR, Memphis

We’ve heard a lot about Denzel Mims and Laviska Shenault, but here’s one prospect who hasn’t been talked about that could fit in well with the Packers offense.

Antonio Gibson is a gadget type player who can take a handoff or line up on the slot. He has more than enough speed (4.39 40-yard dash) and has 14 touchdowns on only 77 touches in college.

Gibson could return kicks while he learns on offense. He would be a big-play threat every time he touches the ball.

The Packers would have to be patient with him since he only has one year of big-time experience, but he could be an impact player and should be available in that late third-round slot.

Cam Akers, RB, Florida State

Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams are both in the last year of their rookie deals. One or both could be gone or they could be back. It’s too early to tell right now.

But, it never hurts to have more than one or two capable running backs. Even though Jones was able to stay healthy all of 2019, history shows it’s likely he could get hurt.

light. Must Read. Jordan Love a risky pick, but it could pay off

Cam Akers has better-timed speed than both Jones and Williams with a 4.47 40-yard dash, and he is a capable receiver out of the backfield. Should the Packers go running back early, it might be a telling sign on what their plans are for Jones and Williams moving forward.
