The Packers should have plenty of competition for spots on the roster along the offensive line, and that’s good news.

There’s one change to the starting quintet with free-agent addition Ricky Wagner replacing Bryan Bulaga, who signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. But it remains a strong offensive line, especially on the left side with All-Pro tackle David Bakhtiari and second-year guard Elgton Jenkins, who made the 2019 PFWA All-Rookie Team.

I still have Lane Taylor making the roster. He was considered a cut candidate by many entering the offseason due to the cap savings the Packers could make, but they’ve decided against that to this point. They could still look to trade him or move on at some point, but for now, he provides good depth behind the starters at guard.

All three of the Packers’ draft picks — Jon Runyan, Jake Hanson, and Simon Stepaniak — make my initial 53-man roster. That means Alex Light, Cole Madison, and Yosh Nijman all miss out. But it’s not easy to predict which players will make the roster. When training camp begins, this will be a positional battle to watch.

With 10 offensive linemen on the 53, the Packers have a strong starting lineup with solid backup at each position.
