Packers 2020 schedule release: Predictions for every game, final record
Week 5: BYE
Week 6: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
While there are still questions over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense, a unit that was third-worst against the pass last season, their offense could be one of the league’s best. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski will give the Packers defense real problems, and it doesn’t help that a Hall-of-Fame quarterback is throwing them the football. Tampa Bay 30, Green Bay 24 (3-2)
Week 7: at Houston Texans
Even without DeAndre Hopkins, the Houston Texans offense can cause problems for Green Bay’s defense, and that includes former Packer Randall Cobb. Given how tough the Packers’ road schedule is, they’re going to need to find a way to win a few. Here, Aaron Rodgers puts on a vintage performance to give the Packers an impressive win. Green Bay 27, Houston 21 (4-2)
Week 8: Minnesota Vikings
The Packers held onto victory in the last home meeting with the Minnesota Vikings, but the road victory wasn’t as close. While Minnesota has improved with the addition of first-round picks Justin Jefferson and cornerback Jeff Gladney, they have lost some key players including Stefon Diggs and Everson Griffen. The Vikings have improved but I like the Packers at home. Green Bay 21, Minnesota 20 (5-2)
Week 9: at San Francisco 49ers
This is the toughest game on the schedule. The San Francisco 49ers might be even stronger in 2020. Brandon Aiyuk could be a difference-maker in Kyle Shanahan’s offense. It won’t be as one-sided as the two games last season, but the result is the same for the Packers. San Francisco 24 Green Bay 14 (5-3)
