4. Chicago Bears

Division champions just two years ago, the Chicago Bears fall into fourth place in these power rankings after the offseason.

The Bears didn’t own a first-round pick due to the Khalil Mack trade. With their first pick of the draft, they went with Notre Dame tight end Cole Kmet. Kmet was the best player at his position in the class but the Bears’ decision to add a 132nd tight end to the roster was a surprising one. Especially after they handed former Packer Jimmy Graham a two-year deal in free agency.

However, the Bears can’t be written off entirely. They still had a top-10 defense last season and adding Robert Quinn will help their pass rush. Jaylon Johnson was a good addition in the draft.

Nick Foles will be the key to their success in 2020. Clearly, Mitch Trubisky wasn’t the answer and they had to move on. But was trading for the former Super Bowl MVP the right call? Only time will tell. The Bears need Foles to be able to lead an offense that has potential but has failed to produce consistently in recent years.

If Foles proves to be an upgrade on Trubisky, the Bears could get back into the playoff picture.
