Three burning questions for the Packers’ running backs in 2020.

All indications from the Green Bay Packers‘ 2020 draft class is that they want to run the football more often this year. Instead of drafting a wide receiver, the Packers used a second-round pick on a running back, AJ Dillon, and then a third-round pick on a tight end who could be used as an H-back in Matt LaFleur’s offense, Josiah Deguara.

The Packers now have the depth required at running back to lean on the ground game. With Dillon, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, and Tyler Ervin, Green Bay has a strong depth chart at the running back position. And with LaFleur building an offense similar to Kyle Shanahan’s in San Francisco, strengthening the depth at running back was important this offseason.

Dexter Williams is another player to watch. He didn’t make much of an impact in his rookie season, but if he can make a jump in year two, Williams could compete for more playing time. And with both Jones and Jamaal Williams hitting free agency next year, performing well this season could lead to a bigger opportunity in 2021.

A couple of weeks away from training camp beginning, what are the top three burning questions for the Packers’ running backs?
