Everson Griffen, DE

After it was reported the Packers had interest in signing edge rusher Everson Griffen, I wrote about three reasons why they should get the deal done. There’s been no update since regarding Griffen’s future, but the fact remains that he can help any defense improve, including the Packers’.

Griffen had eight sacks last season, and he’d also help Green Bay defend the run. If they signed him, the Packers’ top four pass rushers of Griffen, the Smith Bros., and Rashan Gary, would rival any in the league.

Josh Gordon, WR

With Devin Funchess opting out of the 2020 season, it won’t be a surprise if the Packers search for wide receiver help, even if Brian Gutekunst didn’t want to admit that during his press conference. If Josh Gordon is reinstated, he could immediately slot in as the Packers’ second or third option in the passing game and help fix the concerns at the wide receiver position.

Logan Ryan, CB

This move would depend on the contract. If the Packers could afford to sign Logan Ryan, he’d be a great addition to the defense. It sure seems the Packers don’t have any intention of re-signing Tramon Williams. Ryan could replace Williams in the slot. He had four interceptions, 18 pass defenses, 4.5 sacks, and forced four fumbles last season.
