Week 13: Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles won at Lambeau Field last season but they don’t look like the same team this season. While they might have a few injured players back by Week 13, the Packers should enter this game as strong favorites.

In any other division in the NFL, a 3-4-1 record would be good for no better than third place. In some divisions, this record would put them in last place. In the NFC East entering Week 9, the Eagles are sat in first position with that record. It’s quite unbelievable how poor this division has been this season and it opens the door for a six- or seven-win team to earn a home playoff game.

A key reason for Philadelphia’s struggles this season is its turnover differential. The Eagles are minus-seven, turning the ball over 17 times. Only the Dallas Cowboys have given the ball away more often.

Another reason is that Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz hasn’t played well. In eight games, he’s thrown just 12 touchdown passes with 12 interceptions. He was excellent in the game at Lambeau last season.

Running back Miles Sanders could create some problems for the Packers defense but, overall, this is a game Green Bay should win comfortably, taking another big step towards the playoffs.

Prediction: Green Bay 35, Philadelphia 24 (9-3)
