Packers: Five players key to victory in Week 11 vs. Colts
By Jesse Fry
4. Robert Tonyan
After his big three-touchdown game against the Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week 4, Robert Tonyan has been kept out of the end zone.
The good news is it seems him and his quarterback are just inches away from making big plays. Last week in the elements, Aaron Rodgers overthrew Tonyan just a bit for what could have been a huge gain if not more.
This week’s game is in a dome and there shouldn’t be such problems in this one. The fast track indoors should be a plus for the Packers offense even with Indy’s defense built for the same field.
As good as the Colts defense is, they have yet to face an offense like the Packers.
The Ravens are good but stress defenses in a different way. The Browns were good but Baker Mayfield is not near the same level as Aaron Rodgers. The Packers have players and a scheme that can find holes in the defense. Tonyan running free in the middle of the Colts defense would be a very welcome sight.
Jones’ effectiveness is what will cause those linebackers to pause and open up holes right behind them, and Tonyan is capable of making them pay.
