2. Davante Adams has another 150 receiving yards vs. Eagles

Davante Adams lit up the Eagles’ secondary last season with 10 catches for 180 yards. Philadelphia has improved its pass defense this year and cornerback Darius Slay is having a strong season.

Yes, this will be a tougher matchup than last year. However, Adams is also playing the best football of his career, this offense is far better than last season, and Adams has had plenty of success against Slay in his career.

Adams matched up with Slay often in games against the Detroit Lions. In Adams’ past two games against the Lions that Slay also played in, he caught 16 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns.

Slay is having a good season with the Eagles but struggled last week against DK Metcalf in what Slay described as “by far the worst game I’ve ever played in this league”. Metcalf dominated against the Eagles secondary, catching 10 passes for 177 yards.

This will be far from an easy matchup for Adams. Slay is a three-time Pro Bowler and former first-team All-Pro. He’s an excellent cornerback and will bounce back from last week’s performance.

However, not many cornerbacks around the league can slow down Adams the way he’s playing this season. LaFleur will move Adams around and find ways to get him the ball and the Packers’ star wide receiver will have another big game.
