Rashan Gary looks like the real deal for the Packers

Winner #1: Rashan Gary

Rashan Gary looks like he is going to be a legitimate stud for the Green Bay Packers. Many fans were distraught with the pick in the 2019 draft. Gary possesses the athletic prowess to be great but for whatever reason, just couldn’t produce at the University of Michigan.

After spending the majority of his rookie year on the bench, Gary has made big improvements in 2020. The production of Preston and Za’Darius Smith last season made it difficult for others to get playing time behind them.

In 2020, Gary has flat out been much better than Preston Smith. On Sunday, Gary got another 1.5 sacks, bringing his total to four. Those may not be the highest sack numbers but Gary has routinely been getting in the backfield this season.

With Preston’s lack of production, there has been a lot of talk about the other Smith bro finding himself on a new team next year. I would have no issue with this at all because the Packers drafted Rashan Gary 12th overall for a reason.

Gary was a standout during this past training camp and it was easy to see why. He looks motivated and ready to take that next step in becoming a force in this league.
