Week 15: Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have lost a lot of games this year but have remained competitive in many. The biggest concern for the Packers is that Christian McCaffrey could be back from injury in time for Week 15. We might as well just give McCaffrey 100 yards now, that’s about the number he hits on a bad game.

Realistically, McCaffrey gives Carolina its only shot of winning this game. If he takes over the matchup and the Packers defense can’t slow him down, the Panthers can pull off the upset.

If Mike Pettine’s defense can limit McCaffrey — and by limit him, I mean hold him to under 120 yards and a touchdown — the Packers will be strong favorites to win.

Carolina has a lot of talent on offense but can its defense slow down Green Bay’s offense?

With Aaron Rodgers having an MVP season, it’s hard to look past the Packers offense putting up at least 30 points most weeks. If they can achieve that again in this matchup against the Panthers, there’s only one winner.

With this victory, Green Bay puts the NFC North away and guarantees a home playoff game. Playoff seeding would then determine whether Matt LaFleur decides to rest starters later in the season.

Prediction: Green Bay 32, Carolina 20 (11-3)
