3. Packers complete Christmas weekend with No. 1 seed secured

With an impressive performance from the offense, the Packers will get the victory on Sunday night against the Titans. And I predict it will be enough to secure the number one seed this weekend, giving Matt LaFleur the opportunity to rest starters in the season finale should he wish.

A Packers win alone won’t secure the top seed. They’d also need the Seattle Seahawks to lose for it to happen this week. Seattle hosts the Los Angeles Rams, another NFC West contender aiming to bounce back from their embarrassing loss to the New York Jets a week ago.

Since Sean McVay has been head coach for the Rams, his team has defeated the Seahawks in five of seven games, including a 23-16 victory earlier this season.

If both of these results go the Packers’ way, the playoffs will run through Green Bay.

It would open a new set of questions for LaFleur entering Week 17. Would it be time for Jordan Love to start with the Packers already guaranteed the top seed? Or would Tim Boyle step in for the season finale? Would any of the starters play against the Chicago Bears, and if so, for how long?

It would be a great position to be in, and I think it’ll happen this week.
