3. Chicago Bears

Could the Packers’ next opponents be their most recent?

Despite their loss on Sunday, the Chicago Bears enter the playoffs as the seventh seed, setting up a showdown with the New Orleans Saints next weekend. A victory will send them to Lambeau Field two weeks from now in the divisional round.

The Packers have a pair of victories over the Bears this season, winning by a combined scoreline of 76-41. In a rematch at Lambeau, Green Bay would enter as strong favorites understandably.

But this would be far from a foregone conclusion.

Beating the same team three times in the same season is a difficult task. Division rivals know each other well and by losing two games to the same opponent, a lot of lessons can be learned.

That said, when watching the previous games between these two teams, it’s clear Green Bay is the better team. And it’s not all that close.

Once the Packers got out of their own way on Sunday, they took control and accelerated pretty fast. After getting a fourth-down stop on defense, the Packers went down the field, scored a touchdown, made an interception, then scored again.

The Bears have been inconsistent all year and fell into the playoffs with an 8-8 record. An upset over New Orleans would give them confidence, but the Packers would be strong favorites in a rematch at Lambeau.
