Alright, there are many other players who on paper had a better game. Davante Adams capped off a great season setting records. Aaron Jones once again was a dual threat running and catching the ball. Jaire Alexander continued his shutdown ways while Rashan Gary and the Smiths continued to be the disruptive forces they are.

But I’ve got to show some love to Dominique Dafney. Rookie Josiah Deguara was injured all the way back in Week 4 and lost for the season. Since then, Dafney has played his role, playing limited snaps and barely registering stats along the way. And that’s ok.

Dafney will get the dirty work done. I love those type of players. Not only did Dafney get his first career NFL touchdown, he took his regular place on special teams hustled downfield and laid a hard hit on the ensuing return.

When Dafney is in the game, you can just follow him to see where the ball is going to go in the run game. He is already a good blocker and has paved the way for big runs.

The Packers are peaking at the right time. If special teams can get their act together, the team will have all three phases clicking heading into the playoffs.

Home-field is secured. The offense is rolling and the defense has picked up its play over the last month and no longer a speed bump on the way to big days on the ground.

The stage is set and now they can take some much needed rest and see who they have to play next.
