Kingsley Keke also should be a solidified starter in 2021

Breakout #3: Kingsley Keke

Kingsley Keke is looking like he will be another hit for Brian Gutekunst from the 2019 draft class. Keke, a fifth-round pick, appeared in 14 games for the Packers last season but only getting about nine percent of the snaps.

Keke was given much more playing time this season and the second-year man made the most of it. Keke got four sacks, getting both of them two at a time in separate games. He showed promise in the run game to go along with Kenny Clark and the newly acquired Damon Harrison, which Green Bay has been in need of.

Keke started nine games for Green Bay in 2020 and in 2021 that number can easily increase. Players like Dean Lowry and Tyler Lancaster are okay pieces but we also know what they are. There’s a likely scenario that both players can easily be cap casualties heading into next season.

I’m 100 percent on board with Keke being a full-time starter next year because I feel that he deserves it after his play. He took a big step forward from last season and could continue to grow even more, with more playing time. The 2019 draft class is shaping up to be a great one with the current play of all of these guys. However, there is one more player from this class who broke out in a huge way in 2020…
