It didn’t take long for the Packers to realize they made the right decision letting Jimmy Graham go. While Graham was effective for Chicago this year, he was not a fit for Matt LaFleur’s system.

Taking his place and doing a better job than Graham did during his time in Green Bay is Robert Tonyan.

Tonyan tied for the league lead for touchdowns for a tight end and has been a beast in the red zone. He will need to be more than that in this one.

The Rams have a very good secondary and are capable of taking out the Packers’ receivers. If they should, Rodgers will need someone to turn to.

Who better than Tonyan? He can stretch the field, is a big target over the middle, and has wide receiver skills.

Tonyan had his breakout game on a Monday night, so why not storm onto the scene with a memorable playoff performance?

The Rams don’t have a linebacker that can keep up with him and outside of Jalen Ramsey, they don’t have a corner with the size to match up with his.

Green Bay will need a secondary weapon to emerge in the pass game and Tonyan has the capability. Now he just has to turn the potential into production and play his best moving forward.

And I believe his best can help carry the Packers.
