As the Super Bowl nears, there’s a big sense of “what if?” when discussing the 2020 Green Bay Packers. However, it wasn’t to be for this team.

After falling oh so close to the Super Bowl, the Packers now begin preparations for the long offseason ahead. Head coach Matt LaFleur will soon decide his new defensive and special teams coordinators as he reshuffles his staff.

General manager Brian Gutekunst will get to work with Russ Ball on the salary cap, while figuring out what moves they could look to make in the offseason.

Let’s make Gutekunst’s life a little easier. Here are rankings of each position group on the roster in order of need entering the offseason.

14. Kicker

After converting 100 percent of his field goal attempts for the first time in his career, Mason Crosby is like a fine wine. Every time he steps up to kick, the expectation is it’ll be good. That’s how well Crosby has played for so long.

But this is hardly the norm around the league. What Crosby has accomplished in Green Bay is rare, and we need to enjoy this high level of kicking as long as he’s with this team.

There are many areas the Packers could look to improve this offseason. Kicker is not one of them.
