Tight ends (4)

Robert Tonyan, Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara, Jace Sternberger

With Love at QB, these two position groups would increase in importance.

At tight, Marcedes Lewis would be a key player due to his blocking ability, and the same could be true for second-year Josiah Deguara. Deguara showed early last season that he’s a willing and talented blocker, while he could also be a security blanket for Love with short passing opportunities.

Robert Tonyan would also be a reliable target. According to Pro Football Focus, Tonyan had zero drops on 81 targets over the past two seasons.

Offensive linemen (10)

David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, Josh Myers, Lucas Patrick, Billy Turner, Jon Runyan, Royce Newman, Cole Van Lanen, Yosh Nijman, Ben Braden

David Bakhtiari’s status for Week 1 remains up in the air, so it’s possible he could miss the initial 53-man roster and be activated later on. For now, we assume he’s healthy or close enough to be included in the roster.

Elgton Jenkins could start at tackle if Bakhtiari is out, but it doesn’t matter where he lines up, Jenkins can do it all.

Rookies Josh Myers, Royce Newman, and Cole Van Lanen all make the 53. Myers could be a starter at center while the other two offer versatility to play either guard or tackle. Ben Braden received high praise from offensive line coach Adam Stenavich so he also makes the roster.
