Las Vegas Raiders

Another team many Packers fans have discussed about a potential landing spot for Aaron Rodgers is Las Vegas. In many ways, a move to the Raiders could work even better for the Packers.

One possibility would be to work out a trade that sends Derek Carr the other way, although I wouldn’t be in favor of this for a couple of reasons. One being the salary-cap hit the Packers would take on for trading for Carr, and also the fact that Carr isn’t a star quarterback. Green Bay would be better off going with Jordan Love and bringing back draft picks from Las Vegas.

When it comes to potential players heading the other way, we can start with tight end Darren Waller. Waller would be a great addition to the Packers’ offense. The Raiders likely wouldn’t want to give away their star tight end, especially if they are going all-in for Rodgers, but it’s the type of move they might have to make to land the three-time MVP.

Another player who would make sense in a trade is second-year wide receiver Henry Ruggs III. Ruggs had a disappointing rookie season and he battled injuries, but his potential is sky high. He was a star at Alabama and could quickly become one of the Packers’ top wide receivers next to Davante Adams.

For many reasons, a trade with the Raiders would make sense.
