Davante Adams (He’s really good)

Top five receiving yards in franchise history

What a story Davante Adams has been for the Green Bay Packers. At one time Adams was a second-round draft pick some fans were ready to pull the plug on after an inconsistent start to his career. Now, Adams is arguably the most unguardable wideout in the game, with a release package other receivers can only hope to mimic.

Adams currently has himself in eighth on the Packers’ all-time receiving list with 6,568 yards. That puts Adams behind the likes of Antonio Freeman, Boyd Dowler, and Jordy Nelson (who I think he could eclipse this season) in fifth with 7,848 yards.

I understand that expecting Adams to finish with 1,280 yards to move into fifth is no small ask. However, with Adams in the prime of his career I think this is well within the realm of possibilities. Nothing Davante Adams could do would surprise me at this point, he’s that good.

Second all-time in receptions in franchise history

Adams is currently fourth on the team’s all-time receptions list with 546 catches. Only 50 catches would vault him past both Jordy Nelson and Sterling Sharpe, who is currently second with 595 catches. To me, this one is a layup. Adams could very well have this one in the bag by mid-season.

Second all-time in receiving touchdowns in franchise history

Adams has a high probability of moving into second all-time in receiving touchdowns with another season like we’ve come to expect from the Packers superstar. As it stands, Adams finds himself fourth on the Packers all-time list with 62 touchdowns. Adams can move himself past Sterling Sharpe and Jordy Nelson, who is currently in second with 69, if he’s able to score eight touchdowns this season, and I think he’ll do just that.
