Washington Football Team

Trading to another team in the NFC is far from ideal so there’s every chance the Packers wouldn’t entertain this. But that doesn’t mean the Washington Football Team shouldn’t pick up the phone and ask.

Washington is building an impressive roster. They had five players featured in Pro Football Focus’ Top 101 players from 2020 rankings, including two inside the top 41.

Edge rusher Chase Young was named a Pro Bowler and the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year last season. He could become one of the best edge rushers in football this season. Meanwhile, guard Brandon Scherff was named a first-team All-Pro in 2020 and is a four-time Pro Bowler.

Where Washington needs some help is at quarterback. They brought in veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, which isn’t a bad move, but he’s a short-term fix and likely can only take this team so far. Until they figure out their long-term plan at QB, Washington is unlikely to compete for a championship.

If the Packers made Love available in a trade, it would be a great opportunity for Washington. He could be their answer at quarterback. Washington has a talented roster but needs to find their quarterback to take the next step. Maybe it could be Love.
