Equanimeous St. Brown

It’s a similar situation for Equanimeous St. Brown, expect it seems far more unlikely that he will make the roster. EQ has been outplayed by Funchess, Taylor, and Winfree up to this point, although in his defense, St. Brown has also had a solid summer when healthy.

St. Brown returned to practice from injury this week, which is important. He needs to make the most of his opportunities in the next couple of weeks and put in a good performance in the Packers’ preseason finale.

Things haven’t worked out for St. Brown in Matt LaFleur’s offense. He missed all of 2019 with an injury, and only caught seven passes in his return last season. He also had a costly drop in the NFC Championship Game on a two-point conversion.

Still, he’s a former draft pick who, at one stage, looked to have a ton of potential. St. Brown impressed in his rookie season with 328 receiving yards, while playing a vital role in a game-winning drive against the San Francisco 49ers. EQ looked like he had the potential to become an important player in the Packers’ offense but it hasn’t quite worked out.

That doesn’t mean it couldn’t come good for him elsewhere, though, and maybe another team would be willing to trade a late-round pick with the hope he reaches his potential.
