Running backs

1. Vikings

With Dalvin Cook at the top of the depth chart, the Vikings lead the way at running back in the NFC North. Cook had an incredible 1,557 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns last season and he also offers plenty as a pass catcher. Just ask the Packers. With Alexander Mattison a perfect complement to Cook in the backfield, the Vikings have one of the NFL’s top rushing attacks.

2. Packers

The Packers aren’t too far behind, though. Aaron Jones is coming off a Pro Bowl season and earned a new long-term deal this offseason. AJ Dillon is a breakout candidate as he’s promoted to the number two role, while rookie Kylin Hill has been a standout performer for the Packers over the summer and gives the team great depth at running back.

3. Bears

David Montgomery had his first 1,000-yard season in 2020 and leads the way for the Bears’ ground game. Talented receiving back Tarik Cohen is on the PUP list as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL. His return will be huge for Chicago’s offense. The Bears also added depth by signing experienced RB Damien Williams this offseason.

4. Lions

The Lions will be hoping D’Andre Swift can lead the backfield after showing potential in his rookie year. He’ll be helped by former Packer Jamaal Williams, who strengthens the depth in Detroit’s backfield.
