Secondary

1. Packers

The Packers’ secondary has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL this season. Cornerback Jaire Alexander is coming off an All-Pro year, and the team just invested a first-round pick at the position, bringing in Eric Stokes. Along with an excellent safety tandem of Adrian Amos and rising star Darnell Savage, this secondary can be dominant in 2021.

2. Vikings

The Vikings brought in veteran cornerbacks Patrick Peterson and Bashaud Breeland this offseason. The big question is whether Peterson can still play at a high level. Minnesota has good depth with talented second-year corner Cameron Dantzler, although he has reportedly fallen down the depth chart. Of course, we can’t forget about All-Pro safety Harrison Smith.

3. Bears

The Bears have to be excited about second-year cornerback Jaylon Johnson after an impressive rookie season, but they have lost former All-Pro Kyle Fuller this past offseason. Safety Eddie Jackson is also an important part of this secondary. There’s certainly talent to build around, but plenty of questions for the Bears.

4. Lions

The Lions’ secondary struggled in 2020, and the same could be true this season. Much will depend on the play of second-year cornerback Jeff Okudah, the third-overall pick in last year’s draft. Overall, there are some real questions about Detroit’s secondary.
