Predicting Packers’ final four games of regular season 2021
Week 18: at Detroit Lions
Considering the Packers have won all three games so far in this prediction, we can assume they’ll be battling it out for the NFC’s number one seed on the final day of the season. The only way this wouldn’t be the case is if both the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose enough games before then.
Even if the Cardinals remain a game ahead of the Packers entering Week 18, Green Bay holds the head-to-head tiebreaker so everything would still be to play for.
No matter how much effort Dan Campbell’s Lions team put in, the Packers just can’t lose this game.
The Lions have given the Packers some tough games in recent years, but this is a team with only one victory to their name entering Week 15. Green Bay can’t close out the regular season with defeat at Ford Field.
I don’t think that will happen, either. Green Bay has made a habit of falling behind early against Detroit in recent games, but Matt LaFleur’s team has always found a way to fight back. A similar story plays out here with the Packers eventually pulling away to get the win, hopefully enough to secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Prediction: Green Bay 30, Detroit 20 (14-3)
