Week 17: Minnesota Vikings

A win on Sunday night will give the Packers a perfect record at Lambeau Field for the regular season. It won’t be an easy one, though. They come up against a desperate Minnesota Vikings team that needs a win to remain in playoff contention. The Vikings would also love nothing more than to spoil Green Bay’s hopes of securing home-field advantage.

Under Matt LaFleur, the Packers have dominated the NFC North, but they’ve had some recent struggles against the Vikings. Minnesota has defeated Green Bay in the past two meetings of the teams, including at U.S. Bank Stadium earlier this season, and also in the Packers’ last home regular-season defeat back in 2020.

On paper, Green Bay has the stronger team. If it plays to its best, it should win this game at home.

Last year, the Packers’ defense struggled to stop Dalvin Cook. Earlier this season they were stronger against the run but had no answer for Justin Jefferson. That’s the challenge of slowing down this Vikings offense.

Hopefully, Jaire Alexander will make his return this week, but there’s been no indication of that just yet.

A tough game, yes, but a must-win for the Packers. At home, they get the job done.

Prediction: Green Bay 27, Minnesota 24 (13-3)
