Packers 2022 free agency predictions: Who re-signs, who walks?
DE Tyler Lancaster
Lancaster has had another disappointing season for the Packers. He’s a poor pass rusher, not even managing a sack this season, and struggled in stopping the run, as well. Lancaster simply doesn’t help this Packers defense. Even though the Packers’ defensive line is thin, it’s time for the Packers to cut ties with Lancaster and try to find better talent in the draft.
Rodgers stays: Don’t re-sign
Rodgers leaves: Don’t re-sign
S Henry Black (ERFA)
Former seventh-round pick Henry Black has carved himself a nice niche within the Packers defense. He’s often Joe Barry’s first choice whenever the Packers need a third safety, and he also plays a key role on special teams. This season, Black provided a nice leap in production from his rookie year. He had 38 tackles and one interception. Handing the 25-year-old safety a minimum contract seems like a no brainer for the Packers.
Rodgers stays: Re-sign to a one-year, $895,000 deal

P Corey Bojorquez
Bojorquez has been a very good punter for the Packers this season (even if he went through a bit of a slump towards the end of the year). He averaged 46.5 yards per punt, landing 18 punts inside the 20 while only allowing four touchbacks.
The Packers will undoubtedly want to bring Bojorquez back, the only question is whether or not they’ll be able to afford it. If Rodgers stays, the Packers will probably want to invest that money into a more impactful position, considering that they likely wouldn’t punt as much. If Rodgers leaves, the Packers will likely extend Bojorquez, putting less pressure on Love and the offense.

Rodgers leaves: Re-sign to a three-year, $9 million deal
LB Oren Burks
Burks will likely never be a very good defensive player for the Packers. Despite his solid speed, he makes his reads too slowly, and often hesitates. The game simply appears to move too quickly for him.
Burks, however, excels on the phase of the game the Packers struggle with most: special teams. Burks is arguably the team’s best special teams gunner, and for that reason alone, the Packers should retain him. He won’t require a big contract, and he’ll help keep an awful special teams from being a disastrous one… sometimes.
