TE Dominique Dafney (ERFA)

Dafney plays a similar role to TE/H-Back Josiah Deguara. He was an important player once Deguara moved to a full-time tight end position after the injury to Robert Tonyan, and he provides some special teams value. All in all, there’s no risk in signing a player who contributed last season to a minimum contract.

LB Randy Ramsey (ERFA), LB Chauncey Rivers (ERFA)

Neither Ramsey or Rivers had much of a role for the Packers this season. Rivers played in only four games while Ramsey never saw any regular season action. Nonetheless, it wouldn’t hurt to bring in both young players on minimum deals for a tryout. They could potentially provide some depth on the edge, and maybe contribute on special teams.

As you can see, the Packers’ roster will likely look much different next season, no matter what decisions they make in free agency. Packer fans can only hope that Brian Gutekunst pulls the right strings, and maybe even finds another diamond in the rough, like Campbell and Douglas, to help the team continue to compete both next year and into the future.
