Aaron Rodgers

By far the most likely trade scenario of all would see likely back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers leave Green Bay. Rodgers is yet to make a decision — publicly, at least — and for now every possibility is in play.

Rodgers could still commit to remaining in Green Bay, something the team would likely be more than happy with. He could request a trade or even walk away from the game altogether. But that second option has to be a serious possibility.

If Rodgers isn’t ready to step away from football and still wants to chase another Super Bowl ring, but doesn’t believe Green Bay has the resources to make it happen, a trade could come into play.

Again, this would help the Packers get a head start in their rebuilding process. A trade could bring back multiple first-round picks. Green Bay could then build a team around Jordan Love, who would get his first real opportunity in 2022. If that doesn’t work out, one of those bonus draft picks could be used on a quarterback a year from now.

If Rodgers’ career with the Packers is over, a trade would be far more beneficial than retirement, as the team could bring back a load of draft picks in return.
