3. Packers should draft Chris Olave

With two veteran wide receivers now on the team, the Packers can complete the job at revamping the wide receiver corps by adding more talent in the first round. There wouldn’t be pressure on a rookie to step in as the WR1 right away, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make a big contribution early on.

Every year there seems to be a consensus draft crush by Packers fans. This year, it’s sure beginning to look like it’s Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave. And understandably so.

Olave could be the next rookie wide receiver to put together a dominant first season in the NFL. And a big reason for that is his route-running ability. The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs wrote that “Olave should be considered one of the best route-runners in the 2022 NFL Draft”.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah wrote that “he’s a home-run hitter with outstanding route polish”.

With his speed, athleticism, route-running, and ability to stretch defenses vertically, there’s so much to love about his game. Put him in Green Bay’s offense next to DK Metcalf and Brandin Cooks, and the Packers could potentially have a phenomenal receiving trio.

And with Randall Cobb getting plenty of snaps in the slot and Allen Lazard providing depth, Green Bay’s receiving corps would suddenly be up there with the best in the NFL.
