1. Justin Houston, EDGE

The Packers’ pass rush will be improved not just with the addition of edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, but also new defensive linemen Jarran Reed and Devonte Wyatt.

Enagbare offers much-needed depth on the edge as a backup to starters Rashan Gary and Preston Smith.

Green Bay’s defense needs a veteran pass rusher who can play a limited role in the pass-rush rotation.

That’s where free-agent pass rusher Justin Houston could help.

Houston was a four-time Pro Bowler in his prime. While he may not be able to play a full-time role for the Packers, that’s not what they need. Houston can still play at a high level and would fit perfectly as part of the rotation.

With 4.5 sacks, 17 quarterback hits, and 24 pressures in 2021, per Pro Football Reference, Houston showed he still has plenty offer as a pass rusher.

Houston could still make a huge impact in a backup role behind Gary and Smith.

His experience and pass-rush ability could be just what the Packers need in the playoffs. He could make a game-changing play in the postseason the same way Julius Peppers did in 2014.

A pass rush of Gary, Smith, Houston, and Enagbare on the edge, and Kenny Clark, Reed, and Wyatt inside? Look out.
