Which free agents could be this year’s De’Vondre Campbell for the Green Bay Packers?

The Green Bay Packers announced the signing of De’Vondre Campbell on June 9, 2021. He had remained a free agent all offseason before signing a one-year deal with the Packers worth $2 million.

Twelve months on, Campbell is one of the Packers‘ most important defensive players. He was named a first-team All-Pro in January and landed a new five-year deal worth $50 million.

Nobody could have predicted that when he signed last summer.

The expectation was for Campbell to provide experience at inside linebacker and compete for a starting job.

General manager Brian Gutekunst also deserves plenty of credit for finding talent throughout the year, and not just at the beginning of free agency or in the early rounds of the draft.

We are again in June. OTAs and minicamps are taking place across the league. For the most part, Green Bay’s roster building is complete. However, there is always room to add talent in areas of need where possible.

Which three free agents could make a De’Vondre Campbell-type impact for the Packers in 2022? Going unsigned until June but then playing a starring role for the Packers throughout the year?
