2. WR Allen Lazard

Romeo Doubs has been one of the stars of training camp for the Packers at wide receiver, but it’s Allen Lazard who is set to be the WR1 in this offense.

For all of Doubs’ many highlight-reel catches, there is still work to be done for him and the other young wide receivers.

Lazard, meanwhile, is on track for a featured role.

Coming off the best season of his career, Lazard has Aaron Rodgers’ complete trust. He has a deep understanding of the offense and is also an underrated player. All the ingredients are there for a breakout season.

Lazard saved his best football for late in 2021. In the final six games of the regular season, Lazard caught 23 of 34 targets for 303 yards and five touchdowns. This was despite the fact Davante Adams received about a million targets per game.

Now as the Packers’ top pass catcher, there should be little doubt Lazard will set new career-highs in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.

From an undrafted free agent in 2018 to the Packers’ top wide receiver in 2022, it has been quite the rise for Allen Lazard.

But it’s also well deserved. He is an underrated route-runner, a reliable target, and a phenomenal blocker. A breakout year is ahead.
