Breakout performance for Christian Watson

Have a day, Christian Watson.

With his athleticism and speed, Watson can be a difference-maker in the Packers’ offense. He showed why on Sunday against the Cowboys.

Watson made four catches for 107 yards and three touchdowns. He showed his ability to hurt defenses deep with his speed and to beat defenders one-on-one.

Aaron Rodgers continued to look the rookie’s way, and Watson delivered with the best game of his career to date.

Watson’s first touchdown catch was a thing of beauty, a 58-yard strike from Rodgers on third-and-1. Watson gained separation then used his speed to accelerate to the end zone after making the catch.

With the Packers down two touchdowns in the second half, Watson stepped up with a 39-yard touchdown on fourth-and-7. A great route, catch, and throw.

Watson wasn’t done, either. He would tie the game with a seven-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.

The second-round pick has game-changing ability. He has been unlucky with injuries this season, but it’s clear the impact he can make on a game when he’s healthy.

Watson makes mistakes. Drops remain an issue. But he has sky-high potential, and it’s easy to see why the Packers continue to get the ball in his hands.
